Infrared photography captures things in such an odd and surreal way, it's perfect for the tower house at the end of Mendocino's Main Street. This iconic three story house was built on the footprint of an old water tower, water towers which was a common sight around the the village a hundred years ago. If you look carefully, just to the right and behind the new tower house is an old water tower in the distance which might still be in use today.
