Seven Dimensions of the Unseen - Photobook
Seven Dimensions of the Unseen - Photobook
Softcover book of abstract photographs and ekphrastic poetry; 41 pages, 18 photographs, 15 original poems.
An exploration of abstract photography created by poet, artist and photographer, Jonathan Pazer. The images in this book were part of a gallery show originally seen in New Paltz, New York. The subject of the photographs was the light emitted by impromptu sculptures created in his studio. The concept was intended to illustrate ideas from “Plato‘s Cave“ and the related ideas derived from String Theory, which says that of the eleven dimensions of reality, only four are visible and available to us. These photo images represent those available dimensions, while the impromptu sculptures, which are not seen, represent the seven dimensions that are unseen and yet are intrinsic to reality.
Each image is accompanied by an ekphrastic poem, written for the particular image by Jonathan Pazer. The poems are all loosely related to Jonathan’s journey as an evolving artist.
The book makes a great birthday or holiday gift.
